Air Maxx Plan Terms & Conditions


PLAN SUMMARY
The Air Maxx Residential Comfort Plan (AMP) provides two seasonal tune-ups per year (Spring Cooling and Fall Heating) for the covered system. Each visit includes coil cleaning as needed, refrigerant level verification, electrical and safety inspection, and a full performance evaluation.
Members receive priority scheduling for routine service. Repairs are discounted 10% for active AMP members. Filter replacement is available as an optional add-on.
All maintenance is performed in accordance with the AMP Split Heat Pump Tune-Up Checklist (see below).

SCOPE OF COVERAGE
• Two (2) seasonal tune-ups per year — Spring Cooling & Fall Heating
• Standard-level coil cleaning
• Refrigerant level and performance verification
• Electrical, safety, and control inspection
• Condensate drain inspection (if accessible)
• Thermostat operation check and basic programming assistance
• Priority scheduling for routine service
• 10% discount on parts and labor for repairs during the plan term

NOT INCLUDED (UNLESS PURCHASED SEPARATELY)
• Air filter media (customer-supplied or available via optional filter subscription)
• Repairs or replacement parts
• Deep chemical coil restoration
• Drain pan replacement
• Concealed or inaccessible drain repairs
• Duct cleaning, duct sealing, or airflow balancing
• After-hours or emergency service (no discount applies)
• Permit fees when required

SCHEDULING, ACCESS & ELIGIBILITY
Scheduling:
Air Mechanix will contact the customer seasonally to schedule tune-ups during normal business hours. Customers may request additional service as needed.

Emergency Service:
Emergency or after-hours service is available at standard overtime rates. AMP discounts do not apply to emergency or after-hours service.

Access Requirements:
The customer is responsible for providing safe, unobstructed access to all equipment and attic/crawlspace entries.

Equipment Eligibility:
Covered equipment must be generally operable at plan start. Pre-existing failures, code violations, or required repairs are not included and will be quoted separately.

ZONE DEFINITIONS
Zone 1: Properties located within 20 road miles of Air Mechanix LLC, 1550 Carrsville Highway, Franklin, VA 23851.
Zone 2: Properties located beyond 20 road miles of Air Mechanix LLC, 1550 Carrsville Highway, Franklin, VA 23851. Zone 2 plans carry an additional travel fee.

Renewal:
This plan renews once payment is received for the next year.

Cancellation:
Customer can cancel at anytime after one or both tune-ups are completed. No refunds will be given. 

Transfer:
The AMP plan may transfer to a new owner at the same property address. It cannot be transferred to a different property.

EXCLUSIONS & LIABILITY LIMITS
Air Mechanix LLC is not responsible for damage or failure resulting from:
• Acts of God (storms, lightning, flooding, wind, etc.)
• Power surges, brownouts, or electrical issues
• Vandalism, misuse, neglect, or tampering
• Failure to maintain proper filter replacement
• Inaccessible or improperly installed equipment
• Work performed by others outside Air Mechanix LLC

Liability, if any, is limited to:
(1) Re-performing the maintenance service, OR
(2) Refunding the plan amount paid in the current term — whichever is less.

GOVERNING LAW & ARBITRATION
This agreement is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Any dispute will be resolved by binding arbitration in Southampton County, VA, under AAA rules.

​SPLIT HEAT PUMP TUNE-UP CHECKLIST

• Check and record system pressures and temperatures
• Inspect and clean indoor and outdoor coil
• Inspect contactor, capacitor, and electrical connections
• Record compressor amperage and motor currents
• Check thermostat operation
• Verify defrost cycle operation (Fall)
• Inspect and flush condensate drain line (Spring)
• Test heat strips or auxiliary heat (Fall)
• Inspect reversing valve function (Fall)
• Inspect air handler blower wheel and housing
• Measure supply/return temperature differential (ΔT)
• Verify refrigerant charge per manufacturer specifications
• Inspect accessible ductwork and insulation
• Check safety devices, disconnects, and fuses
• Confirm proper start-up and shut-down operation
• Check system for vibration, noise, or unusual operation
• Provide recommendations for corrective actions
